The Lodge

Woodland Lodge holiday cottage has been totally refurbished with all new furniture, fitted kitchen and fully tiled modern bathroom for your luxury, enjoyment and peace of mind.

The Lodge is set in a woodland glade beside a rippling brook in the peaceful grounds of a 19th century manor house. An ideal location for peace and relaxation or as a base for exploring rocky coves, sandy beaches, ancient and historic places, or for activities, adventure and theme parks.

The Lounge

Two leather sofas offer you the comfort to relax whilst watching your favourite programmes or a DVD on the 32″ flat-screen TV. The dining table and 4 chairs fold neatly away to enhance that spacious feeling. The book-case holds a number of books and DVDs as well as the “Guest Information File” providing a lot of helpful local information.

Background heat for the cooler Spring and Autumn evenings is provided by night-storage heating which is included in the tariff. Electic panel heaters in every room provide additional on-demand heat when required on cooler evenings.

The Kitchen

The modern fully-fitted and equipped kitchen has a ceramic hob electric cooker with energy-efficient double ovens and a cooker hood, fridge/freezer and microwave. A pack of tea and coffee awaits you on arrival for a refreshing cuppa after your journey.

The Bathroom

The modern fully-tiled bathroom has a large “P-shaped” bath allowing generous space for the shower within a glass enclosure. A bath and hand towel is provided for each of you. The heated towel rail can provide the luxury of warm towels.

The Bedrooms

The Twin and Double bedrooms are tastefully decorated to create a calm and restful ambience, encouraging a good nights sleep. Guests have remarked on the comfort of our beds with quality bedding.

The Patio

Our patio faces South-West to capture the sun from mid-morning until sunset. Furnished with wooden patio chairs and linking table with a parasol shade ready for you to relax and enjoy watching the variety of birds and squirrels entertaining you just a few metres away on the edge of the woodland.

The Pool

You can enjoy the use of a large heated outdoor pool at no charge (mid-May – mid-September).

Things to do

You will have FREE admission to The Manor House which has a full programme of nightly entertainment with family cabaret. The Stables Bar & Grill offers economical meals and occasionally offers entertainment. The Manor house and a leisure centre are within a 5-minute walk.

Several bars, Restaurants and village pubs which also serve meals, together with shops and Post Office can be found in the local village within 15 minutes walk.
